TIRANA, April 11 – The ruling Socialist Party (SP) launched the campaign for the May 14 local elections under the slogan “Never back, only forward” on Tuesday.
In the presence of the SP’s 61 mayoral candidates for the country’s municipalities, the Prime Minister, at the same time the leader of the Socialist Party, launched the tree planting campaign in the “Europa” square in Tirana.
Rama was proud of the added value that SP’s victories have brought to Albania. He emphasized that “today Albania is a completely different country in the eyes of the world. For the first time, we have been entrusted with first roles from the OSCE, up to the UN Security Council”.
Rama said that this is the ninth campaign since he has the privilege of leading SP. “We have won 7 out of 8 elections, losing only one, those of 2009, which they took from us more than we lost,” said Rama.
“However, winning the elections is one thing, while it is quite another to turn the election victory into added value for the country, people, communities, other generations,” he said.
“Today international relations of Albania are at the highest level,” said Rama. /argumentum.al
