TIRANA, June 6 – Albania and Italy signed on Monday a cooperation agreement between the cultural institutions of the two countries, but also in education, sports and youth programs.
For the Albanian side the agreement was signed by the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti and for Italy by the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini.
According to the minister, this program envisages collaborations in music, theater and dance, visual arts through exhibitions of artists or gallery funds; representations at various international festivals and activities.
“The agreement also provides for twinning of institutions; cinematographic co-productions; exchanges of experiences and specialists in cultural heritage, archeology, restoration, museums, twinning between theaters and universities,” Margariti underlined.
Minister Franceschini said that “the cooperation agreement we sign today strengthens bilateral relations in an investment that will include not only traditional sectors, where cooperation is already strong, but will also continue in archeology, museums, property trafficking and culture.”
The purpose of the draft agreement is the efficient development of cooperation and exchanges in the sector of culture, education, sports and youth, further strengthening and intensification of cooperation in the field of protection and promotion of cultural heritage; supporting cultural values and models; promoting mutual recognition and consolidating relations between Albania and Italy. /Argumentum.al
