The Council of Albanian Ambassadors (CAA) has expressed its support for the candidacy of Ambassador Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu for the office of President of the Republic of Kosova.
In a statement issued today, the CAA described Sejdiu as a distinguished diplomat, jurist and academic with extensive experience in the service of Kosova. The Council highlighted his previous positions as a Judge of the Constitutional Court, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Kosova to Türkiye, Consul General in New York, and Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina.
The CAA said that Sejdiu’s extensive state and international experience, deep knowledge of constitutional and institutional affairs, professional integrity and non-partisan profile make him a highly qualified candidate for the constitutional and unifying role of President of the Republic.
The Council also called on Kosovo’s parliamentary political forces to give serious consideration to his candidacy and to the possibility of building the broadest possible consensus around a figure capable of uniting and representing the state of Kosova with dignity.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors (CAA), following the developments concerning the election of the next President of the Republic of Kosovo, expresses its support for the candidacy of Ambassador Prof. Dr. Bekim Sejdiu for this high office.
Ambassador Sejdiu is a distinguished diplomat, jurist and academic with a long-standing record of service to Kosova. He has served as a Judge of the Constitutional Court, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Kosova to Türkiye, Consul General in New York, and Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina.
His extensive state and international experience, deep knowledge of constitutional and institutional affairs, professional integrity and non-partisan profile make Ambassador Sejdiu a highly qualified figure for the constitutional and unifying role of President of the Republic.
Bekim Sejdiu is also a founding member of both the Council of Albanian Ambassadors and the Council of Kosova Ambassadors, contributing over the years to the promotion of diplomacy, dialogue and Kosova’s interests in the international arena.
While fully respecting the constitutional process and the prerogatives of the Assembly of Kosova, the CAA encourages the parliamentary political forces to give serious consideration to his candidacy and to the possibility of building the broadest possible consensus around a figure capable of uniting and representing the state of Kosova with dignity.
