TIRANA – The US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim has appealed to Albanian leaders to continue what she called their ‘unified leadership’ and to let aside the political conflicts at these times of the fight against Covid-19. In a tweet on Monday the Ambassador noted that the war cannot be won without unity and discipline from all leaders and all the people.
Below follows what Ambassador Kim said in her post on Twitter on Monday: “Spoke with President Ilir Meta, PM Edi Rama and DP’s Lulzim Basha to praise their unified leadership against #COVID19 – it must continue. Now is not the time for politics as usual. Cannot win war without unity and discipline from all leaders and all people from Shkodra to Saranda.”
In another event, the Ambassador had a video talk with the Health Minister, Ogerta Manastirliu thanking her and the Albanian medics who are in the first line of the war against the virus. /argumentum.al
