TIRANA – Albanian health authorities confirmed on Wednesday that they had verified 20 new affected persons with coronavirus while 297 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.
“The total number of the infected people has amounted to 1184 in Albania,” said the Director of the Health Service Operator, Mirela Cami on Wednesday’s medical bulletin.
Out of all the infected people 15 are in Capital Tirana, 2 in Kruja, 2 in Durres and 1 in Kamza. Also, four infected medical staffs were discovered as 65 were tested. Albania has had 1184 virus cases and 253 persons are active with the disease mainly in the capital, Durres and Kruja, Cami added.
The detailed statement by Cami says as following: “Some 297 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours of which 20 positive cases were confirmed, respectively, 15 cases in Tirana, 2 cases in Kruja, 2 cases in Durres, and 1 case in Kamza. 65 healthcare personnel have been tested, of which 4 cases resulted positive At the Infectious Hospital in Tirana 21 people are being cured and 5 of them are in intensive therapy, while 1 is intubated. About 8 percent of active affected are being treated in hospital and the rest are being followed by family doctors. In Albania there are 253 active people with COVID – 19, mainly in Tirana, Durres and Kruja. In the last 24 hours 7 citizens have recovered, bringing to 898 the number of cured patients.” /argumentum.al
