TIRANA – It has amounted to 1212 the total infected number in Albania as local authorities confirmed on Friday 15 more coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours. Keeping the lead Tirana registered 10 new cases, followed by two in Kamza and three in Shkodra. The active number of cases is currently 269, said Eugena Tomini at the Institute of Public Health.
She announced that 162 tests were made out of which 15 positive cases were found out in the least 24 hours.
“Two positive cases in the Municipality of Kamza have been traced during a funeral ceremony, so once again the Ministry of Health and Social Protection reminds citizens that funerals beyond close family circle are not allowed, as they are a risk for the spread of infection,” said Tomini.
Speaking of the hospitalized patients the specialist revealed that 24 people are currently being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tirana and 5 of them are in intensive care and one is intubated.
In the meantime, Tomini said that 12 citizens have recovered, bringing the total number of the cured people since the outbreak of the pandemic to 910./argumentum.al
