TIRANA – Three more fatalities have been added to the list of victims from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Albania where the total number of those who lost their life due to the disease mounted to 120 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, 108 new cases were confirmed as Genta Qirjako, spokeswoman of the Public Health Institute, said in the daily update.
The Ministry of Health has once again emphasized the necessity of the implementation of the rules for wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
According to health specialists, wearing masks is effective in preventing the spread of the virus.
On the other hand, ISHP’s Qirjako said the two Covid hospitals are working intensively to treat patients whose number has climbed to 126 with 12 being intubated.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu said in Thursday’s plenary session of Parliament that it’s foreseen the immediate opening of the third hospital to cope with the unchecked growth of people infected by the C19 virus. /argumentum.al
