TIRANA – The highest ever number of fatalities since the outbreak of the pandemic was recorded in Albania on Friday when local authorities announced that 5 patients had passed away from coronavirus.
In the daily medical bulletins the authorities announced that 5 patients had died as a result of COVID-19 infection.
“A 45-year-old man from Tirana without other diseases, a 64-year-old man from Tirana and a 68-year-old woman from Pogradec could not win the battle at COVID1 hospital. A 45-year-old woman from Kruja without other diseases and a 77-year-old woman from Tirana with concomitant diseases could not survive in the COVID2 hospital,” said the bulletin released by the Institute of Public Health (IPH).
Meanwhile, IPH announced that 104 new cases had been added to the list of the infected people. Capital Tirana registered 60 cases topping the list of new C19.
Despite the cases cured in the last 24 hours, currently 124 patients are being treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital and the “Shefqet Ndroqi” Hospital, 21 are in intensive care and 11 patients are intubated. /argumentum.al
