TIRANA, August 15 – The Chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, declared that his party will continue to support any opposition cause as far as the protest movement is concerned.
In a press conference on Monday, he said that Prime Minister Edi Rama and his team will pay every ‘debt’, while he called on the employees of the administration not to sign anything that constitutes a legal violation as they will have to give account for such actions.
“We will come out in support of every citizen’s initiative. A people that sleeps in democracy, wakes up in dictatorship. This is an unstoppable solution. We as FP will cooperate with every opposition political force, with every interest group to restore accountability in this country,” said Meta. The former president considered protests as an uninterrupted process and Edi Rama is aware of this.
“History has changed once and for all. These debts will be paid by him and his followers. I appeal to the administration not to be used as dummies to sign illegal documents and acts. They will be held accountable for that and their children will suffer from it. The law will work in Albania,” said Meta.
