Prime Minister Edi Rama has asked the Technical Committee of Experts to consider the possibility of changing of easing COVID-19-related curfew hours from April 13 when Ramadan starts. According to the proposed timeframe, the curfew would be from 22:00 to 06.00. Now the lockdown.
starts at 20.00 until 6 in the morning.
Rama made that announcement in a talk show on a local TV on Thursday evening.
“I have asked them (the Committee) to consider such a possibility because of Ramadan in order to give the believers more time. This will benefit other citizens, but we must be very careful,” he said.
Rama stressed that people should not harm themselves by saying ‘Come on, we’re getting vaccinated.’
The vaccination process is continuing as 100,000 new doses of the Chinese vaccine Sinovac arrived in Tirana on Thursday afternoon after the restart of the emergency flights at the Rinas airport after a 24- hour closure of Albania’s airspace due to a suspension of work by air traffic controllers. / argumentum.al
