TIRANA, October 10 – The European Commissioner for Democracy and Demography, Dubravka Suica has said that Serbia can no longer sit on two chairs when it comes to avoiding sanctions against Russia, while at the same time advancing on the European path, Anadolia reported on Monday.
“Serbia will finally have to decide whether it is honestly on the European path or whether it will submit to Russia,” Suica said. “Serbia will definitely have to decide on this issue, but so will Hungary,” Suica emphasized in her comment regarding the warning of the construction of the gas pipeline between Hungary and Serbia to bypass European sanctions against Russian oil.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said at a media conference last Saturday that he would not impose sanctions on Russia. “We don’t owe anyone anything. We will maintain this position,” said Vucic, excluding any possibility of applying sanctions against Russia. /Argumentum.al
