TIRANA, October 3 – The head of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta announced that he held a meeting with the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Tirana, Karel Urban, on Monday.
Meta said on social networks that it was confirmed the will of the political force that he leads to contribute to the strengthening of the relations between the two countries. He put the stress on the cooperation in the process of integration and membership in the EU.
“I welcomed the readiness of the Czech Republic, as a country that has the next Presidency of the Council of the European Union, for the very important technical process of membership negotiations,” said Meta, a former president.
Meta also stated that during the meeting he expressed his determination to take every step that accelerates the process of Albania’s membership in the EU through reforms, with the priority of strengthening the state of law judiciary and the fight against crime and corruption. /Argumentum.al
