TIRANA, June 25 – As many as 13 employees of the Shkodra Police have been suspended from duty after the investigations carried out by the Surveillance Police Agency (AMP) suspect that they allowed the cultivation of cannabis.
Among the suspended employees, there is also the Deputy Director for Crime Investigation in this directorate, Hajri Kushe. For the latter, in addition to the suspension, the court has determined the measure to prohibit him from leaving the Albanian territory.
In addition to the measures related to the function of police officers, the judge in Shkodra has ordered “house arrest” for two of the officers.
According to AMP, the 13 employees abused their duty by allowing the cultivation of cannabis in the Ana e Mali Administrative Area.
“Evidence and facts have been administered proving that the police officers, in cooperation with each other, by actions and inactions, abusing the powers given to them by their functional duties, have favored the cultivation of narcotic plants in the Ana e Malit administrative area,” said the official announcement.
In addition, they have deliberately neglected to take the necessary measures for prevention, evidence of cultivation and bringing the perpetrators and their collaborators to justice, thus creating favorable conditions for them to leave the country.
The investigation for the 13 police officers lasted about 1 year and was conducted by the AMP and the Shkodra Prosecutor’s Office. /argumentum.al
