TIRANA, October 14 – North Macedonia will not participate in Eurovision 2023. The news was confirmed by the director of Radio and Television of Macedonia, Marjan Cvetkovski on Friday.
Cvetkovski revealed that North Macedonia will not be part of the biggest music event in Europe for the first time after independence.
But he explained that the financial means for this event will be used to pay for electricity.
“Yes, we will not participate in Eurovision. We have not paid the registration fee. The biggest problem is energy and high costs, which will arise from traveling and staying in Great Britain. Due to this situation, all expenses have been reduced, so even those that had to be paid for participation in the Eurosong have been allocated to the payment of electricity,” said Cvetkovski. / Argumentum.al
