TIRANA, May 20 – The US Embassy in Tirana informed on Saturday that American soldiers and equipment are already in Albania to participate in the joint multinational exercise “Defender Europe 23”, which will take place in Albania from May 22 to June 3.
“We look forward to the official start of training here next week. The joint multinational exercise led by US European Command is designed to build readiness and interoperability between US and NATO allies and partners,” the US embassy said in a social media post.
The US Embassy announced that more than 20 allied and partner countries will participate in “Defender Europe 23”.
Albania will host for the second time the largest military exercise in Europe, “Defender Europe 23”. Around 17,000 multinational troops will participate in the exercise, making it the largest military presence in Albania’s history as a NATO ally. /argumentum.al
