TIRANA, October 14 – Prime Minister Edi Rama published on Friday on social networks a photo album with the main moments from his visit to Berlin, Germany, where he is participating in the proceedings of the Congress of European Socialist Parties.
Before the start of the Congress, Prime Minister Rama greeted the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and published a humorous photo of the meeting with Kurti where he closes the eyes of the latter from behind, making all those who were around in the hall laugh, while Kurti was embarrassed. The Kosovo PM is among Pristina’s leaders who has not reacted to the speech of Rama in the Assembly of the Council of Europe which created anger among some deputies of the Council making them boycott a dinner launched by Rama.
In the meantime, it is reported that Rama held meetings with the leaders of European countries in the framework of the ongoing visit.
Rama is participating in the Congress of the European Socialist Party that is taking place in Berlin (October 14-15).
Earlier, the Albanian PM informed that progressive political forces from all over Europe will discuss how to face the current common challenges among which are high inflation and the energy crisis.
In a previous post on social networks, Rama said that “the ruble opposition in Albania is immersed much deeper than it seems in the bag of Russian money.”
“Rubles continue to ‘speak’ back in Tirana, as they spoke in 2011 through the vote against Kosovo, Albania itself and in favor of the infamous resolution, which scared the world with the butchers of Albanian human organs,” said Rama.
His reaction is in response to the statements of the last few days from the ranks of the opposition that followed the speech in the CoE Assembly where Rama, while demanding the dismissal of the charges against Kosovo, accepting the review of the Dick-Marty resolution, asked the CoE deputies not to push Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic regarding his alignment with the EU stance on sanctions against Russia. He admitted that Vucic is his friend. Also he did not denounce the Serb genocide against Kosovo people.
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared on Friday that “Rama stabbed Kosovo in Strasbourg”, while calling his speech at the Council of Europe “anti-Albanian”. /Argumentum.al
