The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, says that Edi Rama is shaken by his past. According to the former President, Rama has left many traces in his illegal government, as he is incriminated with criminal gangs.
The head of Party of Freedom said that the PM’s insistence on fiscal amnesty is madness and an obligation and liability for those who took him hostage.
Meta said that “his problem is the past, and the uncertainty about the future because his scheme has failed.” As long as there was Basha, he had the scheme. Through Basha, he controlled the opposition”.
“Edi Rama is shaken by two things, his past which he cannot buy. Here we have two types of past, the earliest and the present. He has left a lot of traces with his illegal government and his incrimination with the criminal gangs, it is no secret. His insistence on amnesty, when everyone is against it, his insistence is madness, he is hostage to those who financed him. I don’t expect Rama to praise me, his accusations are good praises for me today”, said Ilir Meta on RTSH with journalist Blerta Tafani.
Meta declared that the opposition has all the possibilities, not only to come to power, but also to bring change: “I think that the opposition has all the possibilities to bring change. Coming to power and continuing with the same clientelistic way of government is something that does not serve the country and does not return Albania’s history in the right direction. The opposition has all the potentials and there is no obstacle except the release of the true energies that it has”.
