The situation in Covid hospitals is catastrophic in Tirana. The situation is very serious and patients with Covid-19 are being treated in ambulances. This is confirmed by the alarm raised by the doctor, Dritan Kociaj, who made a public appeal to the government instances to intervene, because ‘tomorrow will be late’.
“It is 03 o’clock in the morning today, November 22, it is cold and I have 3 and a half hours with a patient in the autoambulance at the gate of “Shefqet Ndroqi” hospital, Dr. Kociaj wrote in a post on Facebook on early Sunday morning.
“There are also 6 other ambulances with patients with us,” he revealed in the following public appeal addressed to PM, Health Ministry and Experts Committee:

Please, wake up, open your eyes and look the truth in the eye!
Please, wake up and open Covid 4 even with nurses for oxygenation of patients with low saturation.
Please, wake up and make available the beds in the regional hospitals no matter what.
Please, wake up as tomorrow will be late.
The system is collapsing.
