New Chinese Medical Assistance for Albania in Its Anti-C19 Fight

TIRANA –The epidemic situation is still serious and the fight against the epidemic will be long in Albania, has said the political advisor of the Chinese Embassy in Tirana, Bai Yunbin, who handed over another contingent of materials to assist this country in combating the coronavirus disease.
The number two of the Chinese Embassy made that comment on Thursday when he met with the general director of the Institute of Public Health (ISHP), Albana Fico, handing over to the Albanian side materials for helping to cope with the C19 epidemic, according to a report by Radio Ejani on Friday.
“Bai said that after the outbreak of the epidemic China and Albania have helped and supported each other and the Chinese side has offered the Albanian side some contingents of aid materials,” said the report.
According to the Chinese diplomat, currently the epidemic situation in Albania is still serious and the fight against the epidemic will be long. “These materials will help the Albanian side in increasing its testing capability in order to win the fight against the coronavirus as soon as possible.”
Director Fico expressed heartfelt thanks for the continued assistance of the Chinese side and said that strengthening the testing capability is the key to controlling the epidemic in the country.
