SPAK has seized 26 real estates of businessman Ylli Ndroqi, who is also owner of two private televisions in Tirana.
The assets of Ndroqi, president of the media group Yldon Media, which includes two national televisions, have been seized according to a decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime made on Monday, said local media.
The Special Prosecution has registered the property proceeding No.10, dated 21.07.2020, against the citizen, Ylli Ndroqi (alias Xhemail Pasmaçiu), born and residing in Tirana.
From the acts administered in close cooperation with the judicial police structures of the General Directorate of State Police it has been confirmed that there is a reasonable suspicion, based on indications that the citizen, Ndroqi has been involved in criminal activities and offenses provided in Article 3 of Law No.10,192, dated 03.12.2009 ″On the prevention and suppression of organized crime, trafficking, corruption and other crimes, through preventive measures against property ″ which is known as Antimafia law.
The court has charged the Agency for the Administration of Sequestrated and Confiscated Assets (AASCA) with the administration and use of the above assets. Companies that have activity, including television media, will continue their work, but they will be administered by the AASCA.
In their reaction Ndroqi’s lawyers said the attack on their client is a political action as the businessman has a legal case in court with the mayor of Tirana, Erjon Veliaj./argumentum.al
