TIRANA, April 10-The Socialist Party (SP) Congress held in Tirana on Saturday has not been the only engagement of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The Prime Minister shared a video of Saturday’s moments on the social network Facebook as he left the Congress and met with leaders of agricultural development at the Agriculture Fair. Among other things, Rama touched on the problems of farmers these days regarding chicken flu.
According to Rama that flu had been exaggerated in the media and that if the chickens were not liquidated he would be willing to consume their meat.
“You should have made a grill here for me to eat and they should understand that this story of chicken flu has nothing to do with food. Chickens have it for their bad luck but it doesn’t affect people,” said Rama conveying the message that this flu has no effect on humans but is a disease that only affects chickens.
Hundreds of thousands of chickens were effected by the bird flu and according to medical orders they had been liquidated. Some dead chickens infected with bird flu were found on the seashore in the region of Lezha on Sunday, local media reported. /Argumentum.al
