The U.S. Embassy in Albania announced that groups linked to Iran may target U.S.-affiliated entities or elements of the Iranian opposition in the country.
“Groups linked to Iran may target entities associated with the United States or elements of the Iranian opposition in Albania,” the U.S. Embassy in our country stated.
Through a notice on social media, the embassy also emphasized that these groups “may target common locations such as tourist sites, shopping centers, hotels, clubs, and restaurants.”
The embassy has urged U.S. citizens to exercise increased vigilance during their stay in Albania.
The U.S. Embassy advises American citizens to remain alert, monitor local media for updates, stay aware of their surroundings, review their personal security plans, and keep their mobile phones charged in case of emergency.
