TIRANA, November 11 – Albania will implement the regulations of the Council of the European Union for the establishment, amendment and repeal of international coercive measures.
According to the decision approved by the Council of Ministers on Friday, one of the regulations is that of the Council of the European Union dated June 3, 2022 “Regarding restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions that destabilize the situation in Ukraine”. The General Directorate of Customs is responsible for the implementation of this decision.
Likewise, the Council of Ministers approved in principle the agreement between Albania and the European Union on Albania’s participation in the civil defense mechanism.
Another approved agreement is the one between Albania and North Macedonia on the creation of joint task forces in the field of security.
The government also approved the proposal of the draft law “On the accession of the Republic of Albania to the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmental Recycling of Ships, 2009”. /Argumentum.al
