TIRANA, November 9 – Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka has said that the opposition should have joined the majority in order for Albania to contribute as much as possible to what she called a historic confrontation.
Xhacka made that comment at the plenary session of the Assembly on Wednesday, where the draft budget for 2023 was discussed. She added that no more can be expected from an opposition which has closed accounts with the European Union and the US after the designation non grata of the head of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha.
“This opposition that one day points out why we are not talking about Kosovo, when the prime minister speaks at the UN they jump up and say they are supporting Serbia. This is incomprehensible. Maybe it makes sense that they are in trouble because they voted for that resolution then. When Albania is praised for its foreign policy, it is attacked by the opposition. The opposition has closed its accounts as non grata with the EU and the US,” said FM. /Argumentum.al
