President of the Republic Bajram Begaj received the new United States Ambassador to Albania, Eric Wendt, who presented his Letters of Credence on Saturday.
Following the ceremony, President Begaj wished Ambassador Wendt success in his diplomatic mission in Albania and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States.
Begaj stressed that Albania would continue working to deepen bilateral relations, in line with its foreign policy priorities and the responsibilities stemming from the strategic partnership.
“The United States is an indispensable partner in advancing our national interests,” President Begaj said.
Following the official credential ceremony, Begaj held a one-on-one meeting with Ambassador Wendt.
