TIRANA, June 6 – There were remarks in Monday’s plenary session of Parliament as opposition MP Luan Baci has described the time given by the chair of the session available to MPs without a parliamentary group as insufficient.
Baci said most of the time should be given to the opposition, as he claimed that the majority uses it for propaganda. According to him, there should be a review of the time in order to give more opportunity to the deputies who are outside the parliamentary groups.
“You said that we, the deputies who have 22 minutes, have time for parliamentary groups. What do we talk about? It would be good for the session to start earlier and have plenty of time. It seems that we attach special importance to the problem of followers. Four hours for all the problems that MPs should have. This time should be given to the opposition deputies,” he said.
Further Baci said Socialist members come to parliament to proclaim ‘their historical achievements’.
Meanwhile, the chairwoman of the session, Ermonela Felaj stressed that the speaking time is determined in advance by the Speaker Lindita Nikolla.
“I refer to the regulation. The conference is convened by the Speaker. The Speaker has the decision-making. I am authorized to perform the duties according to the regulation. The Speaker has been on official visits abroad during these days,” said Felaj. /Argumentum.al
