TIRANA, December 17 – The Democratic Party (DP) has declared that the violation of the Western sanctions against Russia is national treason.
Referring to the article in the Montenegrin media on Friday according to which Prime Ministers Edi Rama and Dritan Abazovic of Albania and Montenegro, respectively, broke the embargo and allowed Serbia to trade with Russia through the Port of Durrës, the General Secretary of DP, Flamur Noka said on Saturday that Albania is in danger of becoming a captured state and a sold country.
Noka emphasized that DP had denounced several times the use of the Port of Durres for ships with Russian and Serbian goods destined for Serbia and Russia used the port of Durres. It has been kept alive the ‘oxygen’ pipeline for Putin and his machine of war and genocide against Ukraine had continued.
DP calls on NATO to increase the monitoring of the Albanian space, remembering that it is not only about the territory of an allied country, but also public safety, and more importantly, the vital long-term interests of the Albanian nation in the Balkans.
“For a NATO country and EU candidate, this is doubly reprehensible and doubly scandalous. For the Albanian nation, this is an open national betrayal,” said Noka.
According to him, the Port of Durrës is already the gate of all international traffic with government permission and Albania’s security infrastructure is in the hands of its traitors. Any delay in restoring security in the country is one more day for the enemies of Albania and the West. /Argumentum.al
