TIRANA, November 1 – “We have entered the battlefield. All our efforts so far were to stand up and prove ourselves as the real opposition, as the re-established DP,” said chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) Sali Berisha in a meeting with the heads of party branches on Tuesday.
This event happened after the failure of negotiations for unification within DP. “Albanians, not only in Albania, but wherever they are, expect the DP and the Albanian opposition to save them from this clique, from this man (PM Edi Rama), who has established the ugliest monism in the country,” Berisha said.
According to him, Rama must leave power, Albanians have said it hundreds of times, but now the time has come for this motto to become a reality.
“A man who steals hundreds of millions of euros from Albanian taxpayers cannot remain in power,” said Berisha.
The opposition has announced that a nation-wide protest will be held in Tirana on November 12 and its target is the overthrow of the Rama government.
“This will be a time of protests, let’s not have any illusions. There is no vote with Edi Rama,” said Berisha, a former PM. /Argumentum.al
