TIRANA – Ambassador of the European Union to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, held his first meeting with the new Head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho. During the meeting, Ambassador Gonzato congratulated Braho on SPAK’s achievements so far and emphasized the importance of continuing to deliver tangible results in the fight against organised crime and corruption, which he described as a key factor for Albania’s progress towards EU accession.
He also highlighted that strengthening investigative capacities and ensuring high standards in investigations and prosecutions are essential for consolidating progress and achieving sustainable results. Ambassador Gonzato reaffirmed that the EU remains fully committed to supporting SPAK and the rule of law in Albania.
