Representatives of the parliaments of Albania and Kosovo have discussed ways to expand their cooperation and this was done by the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (DPK), Memli Krasniqi, who was received in a meeting by the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party (SP), Taulant Balla in Tirana on February 10, 2022.
Balla and Krasniqi elaborated the intensification of relations and cooperation between the Assembly of Kosovo and that of Albania, but also between the Parliamentary Groups of SP and DPK.
The Chairman of the SP Parliamentary Group, Balla said in the joint press conference that DPK is a party that has made an irreplaceable contribution to the political life of Kosovo from the moment it began its journey as a sovereign and independent state.
“We discussed with President Krasniqi the intensification of cooperation at all levels between the two Parliamentary Groups, but also between the two Parliaments, in order to coordinate with joint delegations, but also in order to exchange expertise,” said Balla.
The chairman of PDK, Memli Kransiqi said that he feels happy that he is paying his first official visit as chairman of DPK to Albania, because for each political representative of the Republic of Kosovo, visits to Albania are the most special.
“Therefore, I started my first official visit as Chairman of PDK to the Assembly of the Republic of Albania meeting with the Speaker, (Lindita) Nikolla and now with the meeting with Taulant Balla as the leader of the parliamentary majority and the largest SP Parliamentary Group, where we agreed on these obligations and responsibilities that we have to work as much as possible for the approximation in deepening relations between our two Assemblies,” said Kransiqi .
He stressed that the relations between Kosovo and Albania are not only fraternal, but also important and the contribution of each political party and each institution to deepen and vitalize these relations is the duty and responsibility of each and everyone. / Argumentum.al
