TIRANA, July 27 – New Albanian President Bajram Begaj met on Wednesday with the American ambassador in Tirana Yuri Kim. The head of state, who was sworn in on July 24 succeeding Ilir Meta, said that meeting paved the way for engagement in the development of friendship between the two countries.
“The US-Albania partnership is the most valuable in strengthening democracy and prosperity,” said Begaj, a former major general, in a post on Twitter on Wednesday.
