TIRANA, June 21 – The number of cases with COVID-19 has increased significantly during the last 24 hours, according to the data issued by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
The announcement said 219 citizens have been affected by COVID-19 out of 805 tests conducted across this Balkan country.
According to the ministry, the highest number is registered in Tirana – 143 cases followed by Vlora with 11 cases and Fier with 9. The cases were fewer in other municipalities but the very existence of them shows that the disease is present.
There are 829 active citizens with COVID-19 across the country.
Currently 9 patients are receiving treatment in COVID3 hospital. In the last 24 hours there is no loss of life with Sars-Cov2.
There was no explanation for the gradual increase of the affected persons but taking into consideration previous experiences the wide opening of the borders is one of the main causes of the spread of the pandemic as it is reported that a new type of Covid virus has been discovered in Italy 5 times more infectious that the previous ones. /Argumentum.al
