TIRANA, June 17- The Transparency Board has published the new prices of fuels and a new record of the oil price is set. Oil has gone to 265 ALL / liter. Gasoline will be sold for 241 ALL and gas for 86 ALL. “From today, oil will be sold for 265 lek per liter, gasoline for 241 lek and gas for 86 lek,” said the announcement of the Transparency Board released on Friday. Further it said the retail price of the gasoil by-product of the standard SSH EN 590 will be 265 ALL / liter, while the wholesale price 253 ALL / liter. In the meantime, the retail price of the gasoline by-product of the SSH EN standard will be 241 Lekë / liter, while the wholesale price will be 229 Lekë / liter and the retail price of the gas by-product will be 86 Lekë / liter. and wholesale 74 lek / liter for vehicles.
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, reacted after the decision of the Board for the price of oil.
Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama on Friday of robbing every penny of Albanian families, calling the Board a communist tool of Rama.
Also, the leader of the Democratic Party said that the price of 265 lek per liter is madness, abuse and theft. Among other things, he stressed that immediate measures must be taken, otherwise Prime Minister Edi Rama will damage the economy of every Albanian citizen.
In the meantime a wave of protests against the price increases goes on organized by civil society but the number of participants is low. Even though Berisha has warned of protests there are no signals to show when they will start.
