TIRANA, August 9 – The Chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, has said that the opposition must be aware and increase the level of cooperation.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Meta spoke about the case of planting cannabis that was discovered in the military unit in Zall-Herr, Tirana. He said that the world of crime has encouraged the planting of cannabis and aims to criminalize society as well.
“The world of crime has encouraged the planting of cannabis in such a unit. We are not only dealing with a structured criminal group such as the incinerator group, but with an effort by this structured group that seeks to criminalize an entire society. We also see this in the terrible exchange rate of the euro with the lek,” said Meta.
Also, he said that he did not intend to criticize the opposition, but added that strengthening the opposition is in its interest to balance the capture of the state as soon as possible.
Asked about the construction of the tower in the center of Tirana, Meta said that everyone knows who gives the permits and that there should be a stronger reaction.
“The biggest issue is the affair of the incinerators, because it is the capture of the whole state and it belongs to the state,” he said.
Asked if FP will protest against the construction of the tower in Tirana, Meta said that “we have always protested and we will continue to protest. But this cannot take our focus away from the main affair of the century, that of incinerators.” /argumentum.al
