TIRANA, November 8 – Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to the opposition’s accusations of corruption in the construction of 3 incinerators in a meeting with the citizens of Kamza where the work of the municipality was presented.
Rama said that the 430 million euros of which the opposition has raised accusations are the cost of cleaning the cities for 30 years.
“The 430 million euros do not exist. It is a cost to be spent in 30 years, to be spent to clean these big cities, their waste from which energy will be generated,” said the Prime Minister.
Rama said that the false accusations of the opposition are being conveyed through the media. “Because we live in a country where the mirror of information is the mirror of disinformation, lies begin to take hold. Man is inclined to believe a lie more than to believe the truth,” he said.
In addition, Rama said that he was convinced that in addition to the stubborn evidence that the Democratic Party is in the ‘bag’ of Russian rubles, the ‘Lek Party’ (Freedom Party) is also in the bag of rubles.
A group of three former ministers and some senior Socialist Party officials are in jail accused of being involved in this mega corrupt scheme in which, as the opposition claims, PM Rama and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj are the masterminds. /Argumentum.al
