TIRANA, November 13 – Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted in Pogradec regarding the refusal of Sali Berisha not to go to the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) after the security measure.
Rama, who is chairing the Extended Assembly of the Socialist Party on Monday, said that politicians can no longer continue saying that they control justice.
“Since in opposition, we have made efforts for justice. We have proposed to the government of that time reform in justice. Something is happening that did not happen at the founding of the state. It is no accident that in Albania there is a body of justice that does not ask who you are or who you are with, nor how high you are and how high you are used to seeing others, but asks you to appear,” said Rama.
“Some say that we control this justice. Why do they say it? Because no one here has been taught, especially those who have had power, to function like this because it has always functioned like this,” said the PM. /argumentum.al
