TIRANA, January 9 – Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted on Monday to the incident revealed by the State Police regarding the theft that occurred in an apartment on Kosovar Street in Tirana by the citizens with the initials R. D. and H. D. respectively, mother and son.
According to the official announcement by the Police, from the evidence provided within the “Inside” operation, it was found that during the period that the citizen R. D. was employed for the maintenance of an apartment in Rruga e Kosovare, in cooperation with the citizen H. D. (her son), stole considerable sums of money and valuables from this apartment, which reach a total value of about 120 thousand euros.
During the inspection of the apartment of the arrested citizens, the police services found and seized as material evidence, 58,150 euros, 7,000 dollars, 368,000 new lek, valuables (gold accessories), 3 vehicles, 2 of them purchased from the stolen money, as well as clothing used during the performance of this activity.
In a post on Twitter, Rama said that the justice reform is done to clean up the “dirt”.
“I don’t know when some will understand that the Justice Reform and the strengthening of law-enforcement institutions are done precisely to clean up the scum! Therefore, when dirt comes out thanks to the work of these institutions, we must not forget that these are the proofs of our will against corruption,” said the Prime Minister.
Also, Rama stated that when the facts show that the law has been violated for illegal benefits, these stories should be investigated to the end. /Argumentum.al
