TIRANA, June 12 – Prime Minister Edi Rama dedicated his post on Facebook to Socialist Party (SP) which celebrated the 31st anniversary of its founding on Sunday. The head of government at the same time the chairman of the SP congratulated all those who have contributed to this party. Among the only names he mentioned is Fatos Nano, considered as the transformer of the SP from the communist Party of Labor of Albania. “With the wish for the birthday of the Socialist Party, I wish a peaceful Sunday to all those who made their contribution yesterday and today to the SP, from the simplest patronagists, to the rank-and-file leaders to its founders and leader Fatos Nano,” Rama said.
Democratic Party (DP) MP Jorida Tabaku responded to his greeting through a reaction on Facebook. The MP said that the patronagist ‘activists’ are not a success but a crime of which the guilty are proud. According to Tabakut, the publication of databases remains one of the biggest crimes in Albania.
“The use of personal data by the SP for electoral purposes is not only a clear violation of human rights but also of the spirit of the constitution. It remains one of the biggest crimes in the country, especially the use of all state information to put pressure on voters, to threaten businesses, and this led to the distortion of the vote and the result of April 25, 2021!” said Tabaku.
