TIRANA, October 29 – The head of the National Council of the Democratic Party (DP), Edi Paloka said in a TV talk show on Saturday that the protest to be held on November 12 will be the biggest protest organized in Albania in recent years. He said Prime Minister Edi Rama should stay in the office and face the protest like former DP Prime Minister Sali Berisha did on January 21, 2011.
“The demand from the citizens, members of the DP and the opposition has been continuous. The protests have continued, but the upcoming one will be a big protest organized by the opposition. It will be bigger than the one in July,” said Paloka. According to him, Rama should calculate the consequences because the protests will no longer be like the ones he has faced so far – empty statements that have remained to words.
“Rama has a good habit – he leaves the office every time there is a protest. He shields the doors with bars. He knows what he is afraid of, but as long as he is afraid, there must be a reason,” Paloka said.
He noted that there is no problem entering the Prime Minister’s Office. “We want to remove the government, not some chairs, nor to destroy Rama’s paintings. Let him stay in the office like a man and see how Berisha saw him on January 21,” said the DP senior official. /Argumentum.al
