TIRANA, June 14 – The Speaker, Lindita Nikolla held a meeting on Tuesday with the Speaker of the Swiss Parliament, Irène Kälin during her official visit to Switzerland.
Nikolla praised the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the meeting with the Speaker of the Swiss Parliament,
“The Albanian Parliament and the National Council promote the successful bilateral cooperation. I expressed acknowledgment for the contribution of Switzerland to strengthening the legislative and monitoring function of the Albanian Parliament and the modernization of parliamentary services. The congratulations on the role of Albania as a leader of regional integration were inspiring. I expressed thanks for the appreciation for the contribution of the Assembly in advancing the democratization and integration reforms,” said Nikolla in a post on social networks.
Nikolla emphasized that Switzerland is on the side of Albania and the National Council in support of the Assembly for the further progress of development, democratization and European integration of Albania.
“The Albanian Diaspora in Switzerland is a builder of friendship and cooperation. It was exciting, the presence in the plenary session and the cordial greeting from the Swiss deputies,” said Nikola.
