A tragic mining accident has taken the lives of 2 miners in Tropoja, northeastern Albania, police said in a statement released on Saturday.
Two miners lost their lives in the collapse of the Lajthize village mining gallery. Adil Dautaj, 41, and Afrim Zhutaj, 43, lost their lives as a result of the collapse of the gallery in the mine.The miners remained trapped as rescue crews immediately intervened to pull them out of the ground, but unfortunately their bodies were found dead.Further the statement said the extraction of the bodies of the miners was made possible by the Mine Rescue team, police officers and miners. /Argumentum.al
