TIRANA, August 24 – The court of Elbasan has ordered the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for the two Russian citizens, Mikhail Zor and Zvetlana Timofevva, as well as the Ukrainian citizen, Fedis Alpatov, who attacked two Albanian military guards with a chemical spray at the military factory in Gramsh a few days ago.
The prosecutor of the case, Kreshnik Ajazi, asked on Wednesday for “prison arrest” under three charges: provision of classified information, assault due to duty against officers, as well as possession of military ammunition without permission.
After listening to the parties and analyzing the evidence and facts, the judge of the Elbasan Court, Pajtime Fetahu decided to hold in custody the Russian citizens, Mikhail Zor and Zvetlana Timofevva, as well as the Ukrainian Fedis Alpatov.
According to the announcement by the Ministry of Defense a few days ago, 3 citizens with Russian and Ukrainian passports tried to enter the factory in Gramsh. The military guards who were on duty at the plant interfered but during the efforts to stop the 3 foreign citizens two Albanian guards were injured.
In the meantime the four Czech citizens who were detained in Polican where there is another military plant and they were taking pictures of it have been let free. The prosecutors believed in their evidence that they were taking the pictures for fun rather than for espionage purposes.
