TIRANA, October 4 – The terrorist act, which took place on September 24 in Banjska, North Kosovo, by a Serbian paramilitary group in which the police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed will be the topic of the work of the Assembly of Albania in a special session on 12 October. Despite the differences that the parties have, the majority and the opposition agreed on Wednesday to discuss this issue for 5 hours and come up with a joint resolution.
Socialist deputy Bledi Cuci made the proposal that the Assembly adopt a joint resolution after talks between the majority and opposition to agree on the text of the document.
“Every effort will be made to reach a joint draft resolution between all parliamentary groups. The Republic of Albania will have to be unified with the Republic of Kosovo,” Gazment Bardhi, the representative of the opposition, said.
Despite the meeting points, it seems that the parties are divided when it comes to conducting investigations on the part of Serbia as well.
“Everyone must do their own investigations, there is not just one investigation. Kosovo is carrying out an investigation, Serbia should do an investigation into the issues it has within its own country,” said Cuci, a defense minister.
For his part, Bardhi said the SP parliamentary group should agree to reflect Serbia’s position in the resolution.
Two resolutions have been filed in the Assembly by the democrats and the socialists in which the terrorist attack in the north of Kosovo is condemned, and Serbia is asked to give up its hostile and warmongering attitudes, to hand over the criminals, to evaluate the work of the Kosovo police and the cooperation with KFOR, as well as to support the institutions of Kosovo.
