TIRANA, February 4 – The Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi, has not spared the ironies towards Serbian President Aleksandër Vucic, after the scenes of violence in the session.
“Albin Kurti is neither a monster nor a terrorist. He is the legitimately elected Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo. As such, you would have to accept him and reach an agreement with him,” said Kamberi quoted by Bota Sot on Saturday as he addressed President Vucic.
He added that he is sorry that Vucic has expressed his regret several times that Kurti is not still in Serbian prisons.
“Shouldn’t his case and the case of tens of thousands of young Albanians arrested at that time serve as the best evidence for Serbia’s wrong and repressive policy in Kosovo? You have arrested a young man, you have won a Prime Minister with whom you must definitely talk and reach an agreement,” said the Albanian deputy.
Kamberi has said that it is a fact that Kosovo has been the country against which the longest state repression has been exercised in the recent history of the Balkans.
“We are in a situation where the end of balancing on two chairs has come and we have complete synchronization of the positions of the EU and the US regarding the necessity of reaching an agreement with Kosovo. Extended tactics don’t work anymore,” Kamberi said. /Argumentum.al
