TIRANA, October 27 – Prime Minister Edi Rama declared on Friday that Kosovo’s leadership did the right thing at Thursday’s Brussels meeting, wisely accepting the EU’s proposal on October 21, and Kosovo is in a much better position today.
In a reaction on social networks, the prime minister said that this is a very important step forward.
“’The wisdom of the Albanian people and not only theirs in fact, teaches that it is better late than never.’ I cannot hide my satisfaction that the leadership of Kosovo finally did the right thing at yesterday’s meeting in Brussels, wisely accepting the EU’s proposal on October 21 putting Kosovo in a much better position today. This is a very important step forward,” Rama emphasized.
According to him, “it is a critical time for Serbia to do the same.”
Rama said that “everything accepted and agreed so far must be implemented without delay”. Therefore, he called on our Western partners to maintain this momentum and push the parties towards a final solution.
“Enough with the same old dangerous chatter. Enough with avoiding peace and feeding the ghosts of the past for the pettiness of domestic politics. See not far from here what happens to those who avoid peace and engage in all-or-nothing games. We need peace, stability and cooperation in this part of Europe,” said Rama. /argumentum.al
