TIRANA – As the situation seems to have returned to normalcy according to the new rules imposed by the Greek side at Albania’s border crossings of Kakavija and Kapshtica, President Ilir Meta and PM Edi Rama continued on Monday the exchange of harsh words.
President Meta held responsible the government for the situation created in Kakavija and Kapshtica because it has not carried out its tasks appropriately. In this frame he mentioned a letter of Albanian Embassy in Athens, which informed the foriegn ministry about the new rules announced by the Greek government, but no one paid attention to it.
“APOLOGY AGAIN TO ALL OUR CITIZENS, who experienced inhuman sufferings because our Foreign Minister, who is also the Prime Minister, is resting in full luxury enjoying himself!”said Meta who also extended thanks to the Greek Embassy in Athens for its immediate warning in an exemplary correctness.
In his sarcastic reply in social media PM Rama responded to Meta’s criticism mentioning as an excuse what is happening at the Bulgarian border crossing with Greece. But, according to him, the Bulgarian President did not come out to blame the government or say citizens are without a motherland as Meta did lately.
“Ilir learn because Albania is not indebted to you!” said Rama, who is also chairman of the Socialist Party.
In his press conference on Monday Meta drew the attention that Albania was a country having the highest number of emigrants and in face of this, as he said, all government bodies should take priority care to their travels. /argumentum.al
