TIRANA, September 9 – Prime Minister Edi Rama has asked the chambers of commerce to be responsible when preparing reports related to the business climate in Albania.
Rama made that criticism on Friday during a meeting with the business chambers on their recommendations for improving the climate and strengthening the dialogue to mutually increase the contribution to the economic and social development of the country.
“We ask the business chambers to be responsible in how they prepare the reports. It is impossible for Albania to appear in reports the same as when there were long queues at the counters, arbitrary controls day and night at the doors of businesses, successive ambushes at customs, ports and border points, as when there were arbitrary VAT refunds. Today, all these do not exist, as they have turned into interactions without physical presence. They are electronic. Then how are they the same?” said Rama.
According to him, these reports alike emerge only from the arbitrariness and brutality of those who speak without connection and conduct unprofessional surveys.
The Prime Minister underlined the fact that the business climate has its own problems, this is not even discussed, but it is enough to take a look at all the steps that have been taken to speed up, facilitate, and transform processes, which were sluggish and dragging before into electronic processes without physical contact until yesterday.”
The Prime Minister assured that “we have made all efforts and will continue to do even more to create the most dynamic and transparent interaction with business.” /Argumentum.al
