Capital Tirana has the highest number of the cases during the last 24 hours with a tally of 37 infections while 10 cases are reported in Durres and 5 in Shkodra, which are also the districts where most of active coronavirus cases (1,213) are located.
In the meantime it is worsening the situation at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Tirana where 81 patients are hospitalized, with 7 being in intensive care and 2 in intubation. This situation was fearsome for health authorities whose appeals continue asking citizens not to lower their vigilance and continue to respect social distancing rules, as well as other measures established to prevent further coronavirus spread.
As of Tuesday the geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 37 cases in Tirana, 10 in Durres, 5 in Shkodra, 3 in Korca, 3 in Kavaja, 2 in Fier, 2 in Lushnja, 2 in Mirdita, and 1 case respectively in Elbasan, Puka, Berat, Kamza, Gjirokastra, Pogradec, Saranda, Vau i Dejes, Diber, Malesi e Madhe.
In the meantime it is reported by the ISHP specialist that 42 citizens were cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of recovered patients to 1,744 since the outbreak of the epidemic.
“The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again demands awareness from businesses and citizens, to be careful in the implementation of physical distancing measures, wearing of face masks and personal hygiene,” said Daja. /argumentum.al
