TIRANA, June 15 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic met in Kiev with the Ukrainian President, Volodymir Zelensky on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian leader posted the footage of this meeting on his Facebook account. Zelensky received the two prime ministers, accompanied by delegations at the presidential residence in Kiev.
“International partners continue to come to Ukraine. And this is an important manifestation of the support to our people. Today I met with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama and the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic,” Zelensky said.
Earlier Rama and Abazovic visited the bombed areas in Borodyanka and Irpin as well as the exhibition “FOREVER FREE UKRAINE” with evidence and testimonies from the Russia-Ukraine war.
The exhibition demonstrates traces of Russia’s aggression on Ukraine through the display of war objects, personal belongings and photographs of soldiers and civilians, including children.
While seeing up close the shocking evidence of this war, Rama left a note in the Notebook placed in the premises of this exhibition.
“Let the world stop this horror and let Ukraine be reborn from it!” wrote Prime Minister Rama in the Notebook.
Through a post on social media, Abazovic published a photo of both prime ministers shortly after landing in Kiev.
“We’ve arrived in Kyiv with Edi Rama to offer our sincere support for its citizens in their right to protect their freedom. Montenegro will continue to help Ukraine in these difficult times and during this humanitarian catastrophe,” said Abazovic in his Twitter post.
Rama and Abazovic traveled over 12 hours by train from the city of Pshemish, Poland, from where they left for Ukraine. Prime Minister Rama is accompanied by the Minister of State for Relations with Parliament, Elisa Spiropali on this visit.
