TIRANA, September 24 – An agreement signed between Russia and Serbia in New York on Saturday has attracted everyone’s attention and raised concerns about Belgrade’s foreign policy.
Russian top diplomat Sergey Lavrov and his Serbian counterpart Nikola Selakovic signed the agreement on consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries regarding foreign policies.
The news was announced by the Serbian authorities as the agreement was signed while the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly was underway. They met on the sidelines of the UN Headquarters.
In an interview with an American outlet Albanian PM Edi Rama reiterated on Friday his stance in favor of Serbia regarding the failure to join the Western sanctions against Russia justifying the act of President Aleksandar Vucic saying that he could not survive politically and economically without the support of Putin.
